Beautiful, still, cool, morning on the farm today.
The CSA boxes are lined up, ready to be filled, as the crew moves from basil to zucchini, patiently picking for orders and the farmers’ market tonight.
The tomatoes have grown very tall, yet most of the fruit is hard and green. They were transplanted in the field April 15th. Ripening is happening… just slowly.
Several varieties of beans are looking good. Probably enough for the CSA alone, but we’ll see. Same with the potatoes.
The new field is taking shape. It is one of Paul’s favorite things to do… to prepare a new field, turn the soil for the first time. Anyone know where we can find a “rock picker”?
